thats right folks, its an antique.it needs a reformat but doesnt have a cd drive. It does have a working 3.5" floppy drive though. The battery is present but does not work if not plugged in. Charger comes with it. The screen is good but the connection to the screen gets sketchy sometimes, so it occasionally flickers. The only major problem with it is that I dont want it anymore bc i have a desktop now and work is going to give me a laptop.I am looking for around $70This is probably going to be a best buy for someone who knows what they are doing and can sell it for its parts, or someone that actually wants the parts. Like I said the screen is good too.Dell Inspiron 4000 Specifications Processor Intel Pentium III 750MHz with 32KB L1 cache and 256KB L2 cache with 100MHz external bus frequency and Intel SpeedStep Technology Options include PIII 600, 700, 800 and 850MHz or Mobile Celeron 600MHz processor Chipset Intel 440BX PCI chipset Memory 128MB SDRAM expandable to 512MB Graphics ATI RAGE Mobility M3 8MB integrated RAM 2x AGP LCD Display 14.1-inch XGA TFT color display Display Modes 1024 x 768 at 32- and 16-bit color 800 x 600 at 32- and 16-bit color 640 x 480 at 32- and 16-bit color Storage 12GB EIDE?ATA-33 hard disk I/O 1x USB - 4 pin 1x 9-pin serial 1x 25-pin parallel 1x 15-hole UGA/SXGA/XGA/SVGA/VGA video connector 1x IrDA standard 4Mbps (fast IR) and 115Kbps (slow IR) 1x Microphone-in (mono) - 3.5mm mini jack 1x Line-out/Headphone out - 3.5mm stereo mini jack 1x PS/2 port 1x 200-pin for connection to C/Port Family Advanced Port Replicator or C/Dock Family Expansion Station 1x?S-Video -?7-pin mini DIN (the unit is bundled with an S-Video-to-composite video-out adapter cable) 1 x internal RJ-11 V.90 56K data/fax modem and 10/100Mbps RJ-45 LAN jacks PC Card Slot 2 x 32-bit Type-II or 1 x Type-III, Card Bus-compatible, zoom video support (bottom slot for Windows 95/98/2000) Audio ESS Maestro 3i with 16-bit stereo analog-to-digital/digital-to-analog conversion 20-voice, 72-operator FM music synthesizer 2 x built-in 4-ohm stereo speakers 1 x built-in microphone (top right hand side of palm rest)?
