Today I took a couple of the exchange students, one Polish, the other Bulgarian, who work for my company to the library to use the internet. The Bulgarian is autistic. This was in a small town and I left the windows to the truck down. As we were walking to the truck the Pole commented "if you leave the windows down in Poland, your car will be gone." To which the Bulgarian replied "in Bulgaria the black humans just break your window and take your car."

So we dropped Bogdan off at one of the rental cabins this morning to clean it. The vacationers had left a case of beer in the fridge and my boss just told him he could have it... The kid is mildly handicapped, he grew up in a war-torn country and is visibly shaken whenever he hears a firework or gunshot, he's 5,000 miles from home and speaking another language... I'm not correcting shit. He's a good kid and I'll do what I can to help him but I'm not going to say anything to him to make him feel less than. He's quite popular and clearly doesn't need my help socializing and interacting with others.
