where do you begin?

My wallet was stolen tonight and in it was my Ohio license, SS card, credit cards, debit card, health insurance card and cash (among other less important things).

I've canceled my bank cards...but now I need to get cash and a new license. In order to do either I need a primary form of identification and money. All I have are an OSU student ID and my car title/registration plus some medical bills. Does anyone know if I will be able to get a new license with said things (they should have my picture on file right?) or some place to start?

The NC DMV has a Web site.

Order a duplicate license.

yeah i know that was pretty stupid...i used it a lot though when i moved up here but i never took it out

and in OH you cant just order a duplicate...you have to show up in person

in NC you can get a replacement liscence for $10, you sign up for it on-line all you need is your DL# and personal information, not sure about Ohio.

For money go to your bank explain what happened you should just need your SS#, your PIN for your ATM card. They'll give you a temp card while you wait for your new card. Or you might be able to write a check to yourself....

but I just thought that passports are something that most people get in the event that they ever do have to leave the us, maybe unexpectedly... a just-in-case kinda thing.

^ I think more people will do that now since the back log for passports is getting larger and you need a passport to get back from canada, mexico etc but before the new rule I doubt most people just got a passport to have one.
