depends on who you are faxing it tooif its someone that you want to look professional towards - cover pageif its to a place that received a high volume of faxes - cover pageif its something relatively informal and they are expecting it (ie. hey i'll fax that over to you right now) then dont botherbut when in doubt, cover page anyway....it takes like what...a minute to fill one of those out?oh and if its multiple pages, regardless of if you use a cover page or not, on the first page you should put the total number of pages in the fax[Edited on April 8, 2008 at 4:30 PM. we fax a lot and use cover pages <25% of the time. We fax a lot of formal proposals and the first page of those serves as a cover well enoughand yes, in our business people still fax a lot. Its common that on bid day the estimating team is in a central location working on a project and may not see an email for several hours. So faxing is the quickest way for them to receive your document.[Edited on April 16, 2008 at 5:11 PM. Reason : add]
