this has got to be the 4th or 5th time you've made this threada couple of those times you've substituted in coke, alcohol, and/or $5 whores under the freeway, but it's really the same thread each timei think your writers when on strike and now you're trying your own material...you really ought to just give them the raise

don't hang out w/ people who smoke weednot that that's good advice, to abandon all your friends, but the only times I've been able to quit were when I was moving to a new place and my new friends didn't smoke
4/20/2008 7:41:09 PM
i quit when I'm out of town for business. until i find a place to score bud while i'm out of town.
4/20/2008 9:19:02 PM
just stop...because if you smoke weed you are a bad person
4/20/2008 9:27:51 PM
don't get addicted to something that isn't addictive?
4/20/2008 9:28:02 PM
^ weed is just as psychologically addictive as anything else - no, it doesn't create a chemical dependency, but it's certainly possible to begin to RELY on it...seriously, some fat people rely on food to relax or escape depression or whatever, and yet ice cream probably isn't chemically addictive
4/20/2008 9:30:43 PM
4/20/2008 9:31:25 PM
did somebody say ice cream? brb
4/20/2008 9:32:04 PM

pretty simple weed isnt addictive
4/21/2008 9:41:34 AM
4/21/2008 9:42:12 AM
i'm going to kick cold turkey. i didn't smoke any weed from midnight till now. which is an improvement.
4/21/2008 9:53:52 AM
good luck with it
4/21/2008 9:56:56 AM
good luck man.. but if the addiction is very strong, cold turkey can be killer and you can relapse pretty strongly. the idea behind breaking the addiction is not to never use the substance again, like AA teaches their drones, but to get to the point of being able to use a substance when you want to, but not become addicted or dependant on it or need it. but if the substance is too strong or the personality too likely to become addicted, complete abstinance might be in order. I just really hate seeing those "reformed" alcoholics who preach utter evil about alcohol just because their dumb asses had to drink a liter of vodka a day. now, after AA, they are just jesus junkies.
4/21/2008 9:59:05 AM
yeah i've more or less quit. an the weird thing is i now notice how i feel a day after smoking pot, which is entirely different from the way i feel normally. also, marijuana or alcohol (not sure which one as of yet) has impaired my brain to the point where i definitely do not have the same short term memory, clarity, nor conversational skills i once did. its sort of sad.
4/21/2008 10:07:25 AM
yeah. man. i thought about and realized i blow $600/month pretty consistently on weed. sort of embarrassing. i can't believe i let it get this out of hand.
4/21/2008 10:19:03 AM
i don't think anyone here really believes you spend 600 a month on weed. i used to be a 50 a week guy and that was 4 or 5 gbo's a day. 8th of headies every week and you're looking at 200 a month.
4/21/2008 10:28:54 AM
i smoke about 1/4 oz a week, with about 1-5 dime bags if I don't have my bag on me. so it's about $200 bucks a week easy.
4/21/2008 10:36:01 AM
i think you might have a problem, gthen again, i'm not telling you anything you didn't already know
4/21/2008 10:45:39 AM
i quit today due to age
4/21/2008 10:54:17 AM
ok, here's a 100% foolproof way to quit: KILL YOURSELF
4/21/2008 11:12:21 AM
He is right
4/21/2008 11:13:07 AM
4/21/2008 11:14:06 AM
I stopped for 3 weeks, started back, but smoking alot less than I used to, and I'm not noticing that my mind is any less clear that normal honestly
7/13/2008 10:02:22 PM
Just stop- It's really not that hard.Or replace weed with alcohol.
7/13/2008 10:03:10 PM
