ok, one thing i've learned over the years.... never underestimate the wolfweb readership, and never assume that just cause you work somewhere obscure, no one knows you or the people there.

everything in this story/thread is true, EXCEPT the names have been changed to protect me from having people know i'm talking about them

One of my coworkers has an admin assistant named Juliette Coinstein. Well, this past week, Juliette and Heebiso (her husband) were having a housewarming party. So, instead of giving out her address to everyone, I THOUGHT she was kinda screening people (good idea!).... giving out her email and saying to SENT REGRETS or whatever and you can get the address or some crap. im a dude, so i just wrote her and asked her address and if i had to bring anything.

so i get the email back, and it's addressed from "Rosalie G"

no last name, just a J - didn't really think anything of it at the time.

I went to the party, and EVERYONE there was calling her ROSALIE. I felt really weird. Number 1, cause no one else from work came. ha ha ha. Number 2, cause i'm like WTF is up with this name thing.

so whats her story. it cant be a first/middle name thing cause of the last name stuff.... and even if so, you'd think SOMEONE would have called her Juliette. what is she hiding from work? she conspired with my arch rival today and i want to expose her former life

yep. isn't it fucking bizarre? i've been wanting to ask ever since i went to the party. now i just wonder why i was the only one from work there and why i never knew she was weird

i mean she seems normal enough. she's nice. mid 20s, 2 kids, nice generic "computer guy" husband. doesnt seem like the kind of person who would need a fake name

also, i kinda wonder if the "home" name isnt the fake one... cause we do some kinda deep background checks. then again i got hired there

her name at work is her real name. her friends are all probably swingers or drug smugglers or some other demographic that she doesn't want to be publically associated with, so she told them a name different from her real one so that if one of them tried to address her in public, she could blow them off and whoever she was with wouldn't think anything of it.

I used to work retail with a girl who did that, it was mostly because she was attractive and had to worry about stalkers.

well, according to the paperwork that follows me on every date and to every job for the rest of my life, anyone who deals with me has to worry about stalkers!

but she's nothing super special. plus she doesnt have to see normal people at alll. maybe she killed someone at age 12 and had to pull 6 years at juvenile hall till she turned 18
