they should send it to the pet pad in cary. they will take care of it and send it to the vet for shots, neutering, etc. and then in 2-3 weeks when its big enough, itll be able to go home with somebody.

^ i will agree in a way, cats will dominate your lifestyle, and you have to build your lifestyle around them. for example, if have never had leather couches, then you want to get some, you have to think really hard about it, because you have to worry about getting them not to scratch on it. cat hair is another thing, i now have to keep all doors in my apt closed and they only get to stay in the living room because i don't want cat hair everywhere. a cat is a really a lifestyle changer. if you don't really love cats you could not put up with it. i am a cat lover, but after actually owning a cat, after these, i will NEVER own another cat, unless i move to a rural area and have a 100% outdoor cat.

and the bad thing about it right now that i am stuck with them for about the next 15-20 years because they are 100% indoors and will tend to have a very long life span. i love cat, but goddamn cat hair everywhere has made me a disgruntled cat lover. the other stuff i can deal with and it doesn't help that indoor cats constantly shed because their is no seasonal activation, per se, of shedding.

Yeah, hair sucks. On the furniture, hacked up on the rug, it's just not good.

Thankfully my parents cat is pretty chill and likes to be brushed. He'll eat up the laxatone (hairball preventative) too. I hope the boyfriend's cats are the same, otherwise there's gonna be some difficult times ahead until they learn to like it.

The amount of hair you find depends on what kind of cat you have. I never thought cat hair was a problem either, and I grew up with several long-haired cats. But having been away from them for several years, when I visited my parents last weekend I was surprised at how much hair they left everywhere. I thought I wanted a long-haired cat, but now I want exclusively short-haired. I've been around several of those and noticed their hair is WAY more manageable.

Hahah, I totally feel ya. I love those cats but they are so bothersome sometimes. Makes me glad they're my sister's and not mine, I just get to play with them when I want and not worry about the rest.

But yeah, dark carpets, shitty furniture and better prices through petmeds.com look to be in my future when I move into my own place and get me some felines.
