when he walked out I called the front desk and they said they'd take care of it. The girl saw him walk in and scuffle out.

It's because I didn't have either the deadbolt or the door breaker bar on. Just the card swipe lock. Both are on now and will remain so

And this is actually a pretty nice hotel, just happened to be the random room some dumbass picked apparently.

If he was going to do it at all, he would be better off waiting until around lunch time when the hotel's guests are most likely to be out of their rooms doing whatever the hell they came to that town for in the first place. Then he wouldn't have to worry about running into anyone.

As for getting caught, he wouldn't have to worry about that after he made it into a room. He could just change into the guest's clothes, loot the room, pack all the goodies into the guest's luggage, and roll on out of there.
