A whole show about true stories of people dying gruesome deaths.I can't decide if I'm entertained or appalled.

Taking two boats framed exactly to fit and answer each other, they lay down in one of them the malefactor that suffers, upon his back; then, covering it with the other, and so setting them together that the head, hands, and feet of him are left outside, and the rest of his body lies shut up within, they offer him food, and if he refuse to eat it, they force him to do it by pricking his eyes; then, after he has eaten, they drench him with a mixture of milk and honey, pouring it not only into his mouth, but all over his face. They then keep his face continually turned towards the sun: and it becomes completely covered up and hidden by the multitude of flies that settle on it. And as within the boats he does what those that eat and drink must needs do, creeping things and vermin spring out of the corruption and rottenness of the excrement, and these entering into the bowels of him, his body is consumed. When the man is manifestly dead, the uppermost boat being taken off, they find his flesh devoured, and swarms of such noisome creatures preying upon and, as it were, growing to his inwards. In this way Mithridates, after suffering for seventeen days, at last expired.

Maybe if it's like the Darwin Awards books...and the people died in a humorous act of stupidity, it might be good. Otherwise, appalling

Some is dumb shit, some is people doing dumb shit and getting other people killed and some is just wrong place at the wrong time type stuff.

having a friend fuck with you by shooting at you and causing you to fall on a rattlesnake and die from a bite to the chest. That's one fucked up way to die.

I turned it after the very first one. Where the dude got torn in half after being run over by a semi. The fact that they had video of it was what made it terrible. Re-enactments and telling me how shit happened is one thing, but showing the actual footage for entertainment value is a bit much. And before anybody makes the argument it's massively different than if they showed it on the news.

^^^ no it isnt. the news is even worse. they just program to shock and awe in the guise of journalism. the news is only good for weather and traffic. all the rest is for ratings.[Edited on May 15, 2008 at 4:26 PM. Reason : d]

When I was younger...the 'Faces of Death' movies were the 'thing'.... I've seen bits of some and I'm not sure if it's real or not

^ I think it is both. I know a lot are fake but I don't know how many.
