honestly? i have (literally) 6 or 7 flash drives, from name brand to free-after-rebate no-name ones...some of them are 3 or 4 years old and they're just fineyou're probably good

Dang that is cheap. I remember when a 1 GIG HD was a big achievement, now I am looking for an 8 or 16 gig compact flash card...........Ironically how much space do you NEED on a thumbdrive?
5/15/2008 9:13:57 PM
i fill up my 8gb now and then...say, maybe, a full-length (2-3 hours) 1080p xvid?
5/15/2008 9:15:57 PM
4gigs is usually a good amount for me..plenty to keep a few CD's and a shit ton of excel files, etc for worki'll get an 8gb next time i buy

i got a 2gb for $12. can't remember what kind. i use it for work stuff and it's not at the house. it's good size; 4gb would be more than enough for what i use it for.

That looks like a pretty sweet dealBut I'm disturbed by the lack of information on google about this brand. Here's the websitehttp://www.supertalent.com/products/stt_usb_detail.php?type=Pico#

I got a 16 gig retractable one for $20 a few months back

I might actually get the pico Chttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820609295It's smaller plus it's water resistant, and it looks like you can put it on a keychain more easily. But I wonder if the weight of my keys pulling down on it would pull it out of a USB drive, considering it's not got the outside "box" part of a usb plug.

Super Talent is a reputable memory manufacturer. It's what I run overclocked in my desktop with no problems.

5/19/2008 7:17:28 PM
^that game was so hard for me at first...i had played wolf3d and doom so i was pretty handy with the arrow keys but adding that 3rd dimension fucked with me for a minute
5/19/2008 7:18:30 PM
yeah, half the time in that game was wild spinning around trying to find where the guy shooting you was.
5/19/2008 7:24:45 PM

Just got it in.Tiny, feels like it's solidly constructed, fast read/write speed, and holds firmly in place in the USB port. It's pretty too. Back side is solid metallic.Plus the metal keychain is a plus, I got an OCZ roadster last year which was pretty sweet and almost as small, but the freaking plastic keychain ring broke off in like 2 weeks, so I lose the thing for months at a time before finding and using for a week or so, then losing it again. It's still probably floating around my house somewhere.[Edited on May 22, 2008 at 5:34 PM. Reason : ]
