per MONTH? My friend who is a computer networking guy at a bank just told me that the CIO gets that much. And a fully furnished luxury house rent-free, and a bonus as well each year which is variable, but is probably a couple to several 100,000 dollars.BTW, it is all tax-free, so that is net pay.Man, I can't even begin to imagine what I would do/buy if I earned that much. I would probably snatch up several condos and houses in Europe, NA, Middle East, etc, and rent them out. And of course a few supercars and supersedans.Oh, and tons of gourmet, exotic, rare, and ethnic foods. (cheeses, chocolates, honeys, fruits, etc). And finally, an ultra-high tech and ultra-environmentally friendly house to live in, with all the gadgets and technologies you can and can't imagine.

smoke about 130k worth of marijuana per MONTH
5/27/2008 7:20:26 PM
what kind of quality of life does he have? working 100 hours a week?
5/27/2008 7:20:45 PM
My friends dad in FL won the lotter about 8 years ago. He won $26mil and took a cash payout of around $9mil. He has it invested to where he gets a check every month for around $30k. So each week he has about $8k to blow and the next week he gets another $8k. Its all interest without even touching the principal which makes it cool as fuck. I'd much rather have it like him than someone making $120k a month from a job.[Edited on May 27, 2008 at 7:29 PM. Reason : .]

^^ yeah that's my questiondirectly above my office is our chief engineer, ~ equivalent to a CIO, but the head of the engineering sector of a top 3 chemical companyno matter how early i come in or how late i leaveher car is still therei personally dont think the millions would be worth that.
5/27/2008 7:31:12 PM
like you hear lots of lottery winners say, id keep doing what i am currently in generalbut....might get a new motorcyclewould fly back to the east coast a few more times each yearand of course the new panasonic 150" plasma...just for the playing the 360
5/27/2008 7:33:07 PM
^^Ever seen that episode of Seinfeld where Costanza's car breaks down in his parking place and all his bosses think he is working his ass off because his car is there when they get there and when they leave. It could be something like that, which would be totally awesome. You should try it at your job, I guess it only works though if you have an assigned spot up front, which I am guessing you do not. So nevermind.[Edited on May 27, 2008 at 7:37 PM. Reason : .]
5/27/2008 7:34:40 PM
nah we dont have assigned spotsbut her "circle" do always get there early and park around her, just another way to suck up i guesssince i had to drop someone off at the airport early as balls this morning, i took the honor of parking right beside her this morning (but i still rolled out at like 345, since i got there a little before 6)[Edited on May 27, 2008 at 7:37 PM. 5/27/2008 7:36:29 PM
the reason i would keep my job is cuz no one else has that much free time and most ppl wouldnt want to mooch off you constantly (and really do u want friends who dont work cuz ur rich?).if u were a billionaire and so were ur other friends, im sure you'd have a grand ole time.
5/27/2008 7:37:05 PM
If I was super fucking loaded, say I won like $100mil in the lottery, I would call about 5 of my best friends, tell them to quit their fucking jobs, and move into my beachside mansion with me and we would live it up every day. There is nothing wrong with sharing the wealth if you have it, and there is nothing wrong with your friends taking it if they know you can afford it. This only works with people who were your good freinds before the money.
5/27/2008 7:40:11 PM
I'd probably buy a Crown Vic.Some pimp rims. And window tinting.

5/27/2008 7:41:16 PM
The interest on $100mil could support that yearly.
5/27/2008 7:41:42 PM
yeah i guess it would be hard to snort a mil a month wouldnt it
5/27/2008 7:42:19 PM
Ernie that was the best image-only response I've seen in a while. Good work

$1.5 million on a salaried job is very high, but it pales in comparison to what big businesspeople make/have.I know this one woman (I taught her son privately) who spends $30-40K/month, month after month. She doesn't work. Her father setup a big trading/import business, and that's what she gets as her share (that's what she spends, so she must get more) every single month (the father is dead, and there are 3 brothers, who get double each of what she gets). It is just mind-boggling.P.S. Her husband earns about $25K/month as a manager at Pepsi, and she spends 1.5-2 times that per month [Edited on May 27, 2008 at 7:48 PM. Reason : ]

An OZ of coke really isn't that much if you have a couple of coke head bitches around with you.
5/27/2008 9:24:56 PM
i'll just stick with weed. ive done coke a few times and didn't like it, especially how i wanted more as soon as it wore off

House, car, boat, investments, adopt a child, vacations, personal trainer, personal chef, make my house greener, donate to charities, and a pimped out bar.
5/27/2008 10:34:59 PM
Knowing a friend who made a lot of bank, what I would probably be doing if I made $120k a month is working. All the time.
5/27/2008 10:54:16 PM
most people making that kind of money do indeed work their asses off and probably don't have much time to spend it. unfortunately the reverse doesn't hold true.

^^Their wives have to love it. I am sure most of them have no problem spending the mans money.
5/28/2008 2:55:28 AM
I'll tell you what, after spending the last 6 weeks not working it's actually been a relief to go back to work. If I ever had some kind of monetary windfall I'd have to get a hobby or something because I'd go fucking stir crazy. I'd probably end up training martial arts and working at an animal shelter or something just to keep from killing myself out of boredom.
5/28/2008 3:10:04 AM
You would be bored with millions of dollars. God damn son, you are a loser. Trust me, if you had millions you would have no problem occupying your time.[Edited on May 28, 2008 at 3:12 AM. Reason : .]

Oh, I'd find shit to do, no doubt. I'm just saying that having unlimited free time isn't as great as it sounds. Granted, part of the problem may have been that there was a lot of shit I couldn't do since I was in a sling, but still it's not as totally sweet as you might imagine. If all your buddies have jobs and shit there really isn't all that much to do that's going to be tons of fun between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM.

Stay single for three or four more years whilst I am working my ass off, then retire. Live on interest, move somewhere chill and with a fair amount to do. Open a bar/restaurant, bank.
5/28/2008 4:58:48 AM
invest the fuck out of it, acquire several residences across the world (to be rented when not in use), get a few toys (few cars, gadgets, etc)
5/28/2008 9:13:53 AM
Aston Martin, trophy wife, Manhattan loft, mentor some children, invest the rest of the cash.
5/28/2008 10:43:02 AM
I would purchase the following:after all that, i would invest heavily, fish all the time, and probably travel for at least one month a year
5/28/2008 10:45:13 AM
The Sheats-Goldstein Residence, architecture by John Lautner. I'd pick up the Elrod House too. Same architect. Then I'd build a fortified survivalist/zombie invasion shelter in the middle of nowhere.
