Has it burried itself?

The proper way to deal with a tick is to cover it in nail polish so that is suffocates. If you pick the tick out and tear it in half, you expose yourself to the possibility of a lot of disseases.

next time light a match and wave it near the tick, not long enough to burn yourself obviously, just long enough to convince the tick to let go. then burn that fucker.

i rode my bike up at falls lake last weekend and found 2 ticks crawling on my legs within minutes of getting there, and i've found a tick crawling on me on several other occasions just doing yard work. they must be bad this year.

i heard that if you burn a tick or cover it in something it will vomit what it consumed back into the feeding site increasing your chance of disease

agreed...i had the ring around the bite, and got put on antibiotics almost right away

umm... typically if you get a ring thats around the size of a baseball, then get worried. we talkin a bout lyme disease

I found a tick on my wrist, and it itched and didn't heal for a little over 5 months. VERY annoying - made me nuts.... finally did self surgery and cut out all the skin around it, now it's good as new
