Yeah but it's not listed on the site. Just my address, which is enough.[Edited on June 11, 2008 at 12:35 AM. Reason : Oh, I gave him my cell phone number, that's unrelated to the thread.]

Even if you disconnect your home phone, these white pages services often use voter registration records to find your address. I'd say disconnect your home phone and either go wireless or start the service under another name (you can get around the SSN requirement by paying a deposit, or saying you're a student from Canada). Change your voter registration to another address (a trustworthy friend or relative, a vacation house, somewhere that actually exists so that mail won't be returned to sender). The people finder sites dig deeper, using DMV records and court records, and private data mining companies buy information from banks, credit card issuers, utility companies, car dealerships, and big companies that have you on their mailing lists (ever give your info to a cashier?), so you might consider changing your address on your drivers license, at your bank, your cellular provider (or get an anonymous prepaid cell phone), and anywhere else that has your address on file, and using a pseudonym on utility accounts. If you don't even want a private investigator to find you easily, don't pay for utilities with personal checks, credit cards, or anything else traceable to your name.
