I went to this little ghetto water park yesterday (jungle rapids in wilmington for those who know)

and I swear, since I lost weight, I've noticed just how overweight people are. Like, I never really looked until now. There was a ton of people there, but only 2-3 who were underage looked good, 2-3 people my age, and 2-3 "mom" age... I couldnt believe it. SO many fat kids, it was kind of depressing

^ It is sad. It usually pisses me off because 90% of the time it's their parents that are enabling them to gain weight like it's no big deal. These people are a huge burden in situations where shit hits the fan (like say a bad flood after a hurricane hits) because they physically can't take care of themselves or take the necessary steps to improve their situation (go ask an obese person to help you chop up a tree that fell down across the road in your suburban neighborhood).

It's also so frustrating that people eat like that and won't take care of themselves because the difference is literally just not eating that extra burger or not finishing off your fries at a restaurant. You'll go hungry for a short while as your stomach adjust to eating slightly less, but it's really quite easy to not be a glutton. I don't have an eating disorder though, so I don't suppose I know why it is so easy for so many to become so fat and to throw YEARS of healthy living away.

I don't hate fat people, it's just horridly frustrating that so many people won't take the smallest of steps to correct the problem and to improve their overall health.

Yeah it really opened my eyes when I went to Europe. I'm almost 6' and 150-155lbs, pretty much skinny as hell and everybody over there was my size or smaller.. Come back over here and its like fatty land.

^^^ It's not like fat people eat well-rounded meals every day, son! Those extra calories come from somewhere. "Extra burger" could be getting a double instead of a single, or you could look at it as any number of extra food items that somebody eats every day without realizing that it's totally unnecessary (like getting appetizers while out at a corporate restaurant).
