6/17/2008 3:12:34 PM

6/17/2008 3:31:31 PM
I really dislike the smart bar, but only because I look at websites that I probably shouldn't be on
6/17/2008 3:33:16 PM
hahah doh!
6/17/2008 3:35:16 PM
yay for ff3
6/17/2008 3:52:01 PM
need my tab preferences addons to update
6/17/2008 3:58:32 PM
this better save all my settings/ bookmarks from 2.0
6/17/2008 3:58:41 PM
it saved mine....one add-on didn't work thoughbut oh well
6/17/2008 4:01:09 PM
It does. I like it so far. I think the drop down thing bringing in bookmarks in is weird but workable.
6/17/2008 4:01:32 PM
none of my add-ons work now. but my helicopter game runs faster
6/17/2008 4:10:05 PM
bump for ppl getting on after dinner
6/17/2008 6:47:45 PM
no adblock available yet though
6/17/2008 6:49:15 PM
^yea there is, I'm using it right now...try updating from the adblock homepage - not the mozilla servers that are getting slammed.
6/17/2008 6:54:34 PM
6/17/2008 6:56:51 PM
wow, yeah, the page loading in this new firefox is pretty impressive. Gonna be hard to give up Flock though
6/17/2008 6:57:58 PM
k, got it. damn this thing is fast.
6/17/2008 7:01:16 PM
i'm using it now. it's intense.
6/17/2008 7:03:45 PM
it is fast. only the realplayer add-on didn't work.it's weird that I can click and see saved passwords. note to self: keep people off of my computer.
6/17/2008 7:04:41 PM
I hope they get the ppc/smartphone compile out the door in a timely manner. FF1 with all it's memory leaks almost killed my PDA and FF2 never had a decent compile to any mobile device.
6/17/2008 7:12:36 PM
how the fuck do i get it to stop showing my bookmarks in my address bar??
6/17/2008 7:27:44 PM
heh, time to rape the slow as server at work downloading this
6/17/2008 7:41:32 PM
im using ff3 beta 3 and it hasnt updated or anything
6/17/2008 7:42:17 PM
epic win
6/17/2008 7:42:28 PM
shit is fast as hell. if you want all your old extensions to work again just install nightly tester tools and override compatibility. nothing has broken for me yet, and i have it setup back like it was before.
6/17/2008 7:44:07 PM
Awesome, seems to be working great for me. Does this mean we'll soon see a new version of Thunderbird too?
6/17/2008 7:46:02 PM
I've been using Webkit (Safari) for a while because it was fast. I feel like FF3 is faster, but the scrolling i terrible. I'm on a Macbook Pro using the trackpad and the scrolling sucks.I think I can live with it, I like the new interface and the address bar is pretty cool.
6/17/2008 7:47:35 PM
this is why you should try betas in the future, so when the final release rolls around you will already be use to it/nerd
6/17/2008 7:49:17 PM
why wont all in one gestures work in ff3 ? guess i have to keep my laptop on 2 :x
6/17/2008 7:52:35 PM
its not ff3, its the author of the plugin thats has to make it fully compatible, there are hacks, to make ff skip the plugin compatibility check.
6/17/2008 8:02:52 PM
It is quick. Not sure how much faster you can make it, though.
6/17/2008 8:04:16 PM
6/17/2008 8:06:10 PM
^ I want to know this also
6/17/2008 8:09:06 PM
OKAY OKAY OKAYWHERE'S FUCKING ADBLOCK
6/17/2008 8:09:24 PM
ok i take it back, i am not happy with FF3 - is there a way to get the old behavior of the address bar back? i read that you can disable the addressbar lookup thing altogether by setting "browser.urlbar.maxRichResults" to zero, but i don't want to completely get rid of it. i want the old version back where you start typing a URL and it autocompletes it based on what you most commonly used in the past...
6/17/2008 8:09:31 PM
it's really irritating...
6/17/2008 8:09:37 PM
ITS FUCKING FAST. I'M SPEEDING THROUGH THE INTERNETS.
6/17/2008 8:11:25 PM
SLOW DOWN THERE SIR
6/17/2008 8:14:02 PM
also this extension might help some:https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6227
6/17/2008 8:14:16 PM
sweet. will it slow down performance?
6/17/2008 8:16:36 PM
what's everyone bitching about? I see no problems with the address bar
6/17/2008 8:17:50 PM
