7/11/2008 6:19:43 PM
Somehow I doubt that will be very fruitful. And even if it is, I'm leaving on vacation, so I won't be able to defend myself.
7/11/2008 6:49:40 PM

Honestly, I've never really gotten into poetry. I know enough of the popular poets to be well rounded (and I have a few favorites), but I enjoy just about any other form of literature far more. Fiction, nonfiction, scholarly journals-- heck, I love wandering aimlessly around the stacks or a bookstore-- picking up a random book or article & spending an afternoon or evening learning as much as I can about whatever has sparked my interest for that day. Learning about the brain, astronomy, WWII, evolution, general history (although I'm horrible with dates), sleep, the environment, foreign cultures, government-- it all wildly excites me. Alas I have drifted wildly off topic... /musings

7/12/2008 12:18:09 AM
^^god, me too. the best dates i have been on were to book stores.
7/12/2008 12:19:44 AM
it takes a special chick to appreciate a bookstore date, which is a good thing . those are usually good times.
7/12/2008 12:20:45 AM
Strangely enough, both of my LTRs have spawned from a bookstore/library (although I later found out that one was all an act & he LOATHED books and reading) [Edited on July 12, 2008 at 12:27 AM. Reason : ]
7/12/2008 12:23:10 AM
'83, wanna go to a bookstore? [Edited on July 12, 2008 at 12:23 AM. Reason : edit]
i wouldn't say a date strictly to a bookstore would be that great, but its an awesome filler during a nightwhat critics[Edited on July 12, 2008 at 12:24 AM. Reason : fuck it]
7/12/2008 12:24:02 AM
Yo, Holmes, what up? What up with you? What we gonna say, what we gonna do?Where we gonna go, what we gonna see? We're going to the library.I'm moving down the aisle with my homeys in tow. We're groovin' in the home of the librarian, yo!She checks us out from behind thick glasses. We walk right past and we wiggle our asses.Hemingway, Lawrence, Chekhov and Miller.Fitzgerald was a freak, Mailer is a killer.Quiet please! Quiet, please! The silence is golden, to books I am beholdenI know I'm bad 'cause of the knowledge that I'm holding. And I give you one warning. There will be no repeats,Get outta my face when I'm reading my Keats.
