i was at cup a joe and a couple of kids were nodding off into their lattes and the other ones were high as a kite, chattering like squirrels. i'm guessing that they were propping themselves up with other shit.

count off 10 people going into an opioid detox center... 3 of them are people who had tumors or car accidents, etc, who became addicted legally. 3-4 either finished college or were in for a while. 6 of them have never made over 25k in a year (legally). 4 have been arrested. 2 have been to prison.

i could sit here all day and rattle off numbers... but the point would be that opioid addiction reaches into all walks of life almost equally.

hardly for those with privileged lives. as for why people would eat/snort oxycontin or snort/shoot heroin... you'd be amazed at what people will do to avoid the withdrawals. it's nearly impossible to kick without some sort of medical help. at the very least, even those who do it "cold turkey" in detox end up taking a cocktail of drugs while there, just to keep them sedated and keep them able to hold food down.

its a bad bad thing.

oh yeah, one more number... 10 of those people really really wish they could stop

Got an aunt in an assisted-living facility in Jacksonville, FL. She's mentally impaired (to the point of having a severe speech impediment and memory loss) and has severe liver damage...and is a former oxy addict and alcoholic.

Oh...and she's something like 52 or 53.

yeah, and depending on the area of the country you get it, and the type... some of it would be harder to smoke than others.

i mean have you ever seen the stuff? powder form for example, 20 bucks worth looks a lot like something that a lighter could take out in about half a second

then theres the crack rock looking stuff down in atlanta... they just cook that right up, that stuff looks unsmokable, just melts down
