les stroud would eat this man for sustenance.

being stupid does not make you a badass. I look at him like the jackass of survival shows. He just out there to freak people out.
7/16/2008 12:13:23 AM
he is a hardcore badass for sure based on his military background, but his show isn't as badass as Les Stroud's. Bear's shit is mostly fake and he rolls through with a whole fucking camera crew. Les gets his fatass dropped in solo. Not only does Les have to survive, but he has to set up the cameras for all the shots.[Edited on July 16, 2008 at 12:20 AM. Reason : s]
7/16/2008 12:16:06 AM
He still does all that shit though. He's more badass than 99.9% of people out there.
7/16/2008 12:26:18 AM
true, just not more badass than Les as far as their shows go
7/16/2008 12:26:56 AM
I would take Bear Grylls in a fight, but if I was stuck out in the wilderness trying to survive, I'd have to go with the other guy.
7/16/2008 12:27:44 AM
i'd take Bear in both situations, i just think that Les has a better show[Edited on July 16, 2008 at 12:28 AM. Reason : s]
7/16/2008 12:28:31 AM
bear wins because he kills things
7/16/2008 12:28:52 AM
bear wouldn't do half the shit he does if he didn't have his camera crew there ready to step in and save him.

^^ The jackass people did the same type things but you don't see them running around saying they are badasses.[Edited on July 16, 2008 at 12:39 AM. Reason : badaases]

... yet
7/16/2008 12:39:49 AM
holy shit, Les Stroud lives in Yellowknife, where Ice Road Truckers was filmedHe is definitely more badass
7/16/2008 12:45:12 AM
^^^^ i could do the camel carcass thing if i had toi'm not so sure about drinking the juice out of elephant shit or whatever it was no matter what the circumstances. i also don't know if i could eat a fish alive...i wouldn't say i'm a picky eater, but i can't handle Fear Factor type eating stunts.
7/16/2008 12:56:28 AM
7/16/2008 12:57:04 AM
I don't think there's a person alive that could beat Bear Grylls at some Fear Factor.
7/16/2008 12:57:47 AM
oh, not even a chance.the best anyone could hope for would be a tie, because i don't think there's anything he wouldn't eat._________________i've seen some unlikely people eat crazy shit. i saw an attractive chick eat the eyeball out of a freshly killed rabbit's head. i'd been a week without food (other than a couple of leaves, a little bit of moss, and a bite or two of cactus), and i wasn't even SLIGHTLY tempted to eat anything that disgusting.[Edited on July 16, 2008 at 1:02 AM. I retract my previous statement.

7/16/2008 7:14:03 AM
If your name is Bear...then you are badass, period.
7/16/2008 8:26:17 AM
Bear is definitely a badass. In a real life survival situation Bear would kill, skin, and eat Les Stroud. If necessary he would make a shelter out of the remaining bits.
7/16/2008 8:27:43 AM
^^^^ LOL
7/16/2008 8:32:07 AM
les is the survivalist.bear is the hunter.id want a happy mix of both.but they are both badass in their own respects.
7/16/2008 8:37:28 AM
^^^ no bear would break his ankle sprinting down a mountain or die trying to go down rapids with his backpack as a flotation device because he wouldn't have his precious life vest to keep him up.
7/16/2008 9:05:05 AM
les stroud/survivorman is the most boring piece of shit everat least bear/his show is interesting
7/16/2008 9:33:28 AM
there was some video showing one wilderness area he filmed in directly beside a major highway...[Edited on July 16, 2008 at 9:41 AM. Reason : area not are]
7/16/2008 9:38:17 AM
wut
7/16/2008 9:39:05 AM
ahh yes with the "dangerous volcanic fissure" also known as a 10ft crack that a tourist in flipflops and shorts can hop over with little danger of death
7/16/2008 9:40:04 AM
yup
7/16/2008 9:40:55 AM
^^yeah. he was all extreme jumping over this huge crevass in a desert and some guy went out and found the same crack, filmed it panned out a little, and he was only about 10 ft from the end of the crack. he could've just walked around the end of it. and there was a road and cars in a few hundred yards.not badass at all.
7/16/2008 9:41:22 AM
granted it was near the end of the episode where he finds civilization but it takes him another 5 minutes of air time to do so...
7/16/2008 9:43:22 AM
he certainly wants you to believe he is badass. i am sure with all his training he can do some pretty rough/tough things.but seriously, its stuff like ^^ and the fact he has a camera crew, and that he routinely stays in hotels which make me skeptical. also, if you were 'surviving' in the jungle, the last thing you need to do is climb up the water fall. any broken bones, esp an ankle can easily spell demise.
7/16/2008 9:45:44 AM
yeah ha does crap that isn't necessary a lot
