Why should we commemorate the mistakes made. If you want to make a point, make it with something that is relative and has a purpose. Buy land to start a graveyard for all the soldiers that fight in the war you disagree with(and undoubtedly, watch them get buried elsewhere, since your graveyard idea was stupid). I am not saying it would work, but this sewer treatment plant thing will be forgotten in 6 months and no one will really care. Then the people of San Francisco just have a public works facility named after someone they hate. Way to keep reminding yourself of the problems you have had while not making anyone else aware of them at all.

Out of all the bombs dropped on cities throughout history (which has been a shitload) only two have been nuclear.

There are also nuclear weapons that wouldn't completely destroy San Fran. Most probably wouldn't in fact, definitely the ones that the kind of people that would use one on an American city (terrorists) would have would be small and inefficient.

=this country likes to fuck with the biggest dog they can when something goes wrong. there were ways to lessen the effect of katrina but the communities, state, and federal people and groups didnt do enough. it wasnt just bush or FEMA. they held the cards but they arent the only blame

i partly blame federal legislature, state legislature, and foreign groups for our gas problems. the rise in gas prices is rediculous. its our own fault for not having new refineries like we should have. its our governments fault for not forcing foreign and domestic companies to follow protocols and to regulate their business. why the fuck am i paying so much taxes for and why are the polititians making more in 10 years in office than i will in a lifetime.

if we are so high and mighty of a country, how come we havent forced opec or the foreign governments to figure out a way to lower costs and effectively change the problem.
elect people who are going to do the job, instead of decide if gay marraige is ok.........GET ON THE BALL AND FUCKING FIX OUR TAXES, SCHOOLS, ECONOMY, ENVIRONMENT, POLITICAL SITUATIONS, and HEALTH CARE PROBLEMS.
