ha. It isn't wise to walk around during the day, much less at 5:30 when it's still dark and the people on the roads are half asleep.

I wonder if it was somebody being a dickhead and crossing the street as slowly as possible.

That always bugged me when I saw that when I walked to school.

Since this is chit chat, all wild speculation is acceptable.

It was probably a hate crime.

My office overlooks the Western / Avent Ferry intersection. I see everyday how often people come close to getting killed trying to cross. The interesting thing is that motorists being impatient leads to far more accidents and near accidents than pedestrians doing stupid things.

a coworker of mine said that the dude that got hit had one of his legs nearly severed below the knee, and that his shoes were in the middle of the intersection, a good distance away from where the owner was. Good news was that he was awake/conscious and all that. The girl that hit him seemed pretty distraught as well. Sounded to me like she had a green light and he was where he shouldn't have been
