All their stuff is house made, even the pickles, tortilla chips and corned beef. Anything involving those ingredients is amazing. The hamburgers are pretty awesome too and they even grind their own beef.

--I've always wondered about that Joe's place... I've driven by it at least 1000 times in my life.
--As for Raleigh Times-- The one time I visited, I liked the beer selection, and I had a great salad (Gorgonzola I believe?).
--Cafe Carolina has good food, but it's so packed at lunch it's not really worth the effort... and I wouldn't really consider Cameron Village downtown.
--Is Roly Poly still around? They had some good sandwiches.
--Hard Times Cafe is always fun (<3 their homemade Root Beer).
--Big Eds used to have good country food... I went there a lot as a kid

Btw, DNL- If you want to try Caffe Luna you need to go at lunchtime during the week.
