ok hopefully among the flaming i'll have one good responseheres the scenario:i have stocks of a company worth $0.0065/share they're about to be bough out any day now, the current offer is $0.25/shareif that happens what happens to their stock, does it just go up to 0.25 or does it go off the market and how do i get paid?by the way im a beginner in the market

so you currently own stocks worth less than 1 penny each?
8/7/2008 2:09:34 PM
yep, and its fairly volitile so there is lots of money to be made
8/7/2008 2:10:36 PM
they can offer it at that price, but if no one buys it, then it's worthless and it doesn't matter how much they CAN sell it for.why would it go "off" the market? what does that mean?i don't understand what you mean by getting paid? have you never sold a stock before?maybe you should read some more before you lose more pennies.

the offer of .25 is from another company ready to buy this companymy question is if they do get sold for $.25, what does that mean for my stocksare my stocks sold at that price? do i keep the stocks or is it sold automatically?plus i was wondering if they got sold then maybe the other company might eat the stocks and take the company off the markethaha, yes these questions may seem funny
8/7/2008 2:14:31 PM
they're shopped, i can tell by the pixels
8/7/2008 2:37:23 PM
you could sell your shares to that other company for $0.25
8/7/2008 2:39:28 PM
i'm pretty sure these are questions I'd have asked before I bought stocks.
8/7/2008 2:43:06 PM

well im pretty sure the deal is going through and the minimum price is setso i guess the stock price will jump to equal the bid price at least thats what im hoping
8/7/2008 2:56:22 PM
what's the symbolseems silly that someone would offer like 40x current stock value
8/7/2008 2:57:17 PM
nevermind, i was off by a digit the offer is 0.025 not 0.25either way though thats 4x the current price so its still a nice chunk of change
8/7/2008 3:11:19 PM
i'm still curious as to the symbol.you know, verification and all.
8/7/2008 3:33:02 PM
I'm pretty sure that price will be for the company's retained controlling shares and not the shares currently on the market. But, I'm by no means an expert or even knowledgeable about such things.
