ok... soooo... here goes
when i first moved into this apt complex over the summer i had my two dogs with me and i didn't know anyone. one day i was taking them to the dog park and i had them both on their leashes while i was walking them out to the car. this other lady (seems maybe like 35? 40 at the oldest) had her two pomeranians with her out by her car and my pug mady starts licking her dogs face. i'm like Oh my gosh, i'm so sorry and pull her away and put both the dogs in the car. the lady laughs and says oh it's ok and she goes about her business.

a month or so later i'm taking the pug out one afternoon. i get her leash on, one of those retractable ones and head outside. she hears the pomeranians outside so she runs off and at the same time my other dog penny who i was not planning on taking out runs out as well. i'm yelling no penny come back! while trying to pull back mady's retractable leash. well penny runs off into a corner and pees, not bugging anyone and just keeping to herself. mady's leash gets caught on a bush and she jumps on this little pomeranian and they start play fighting. i'm saying no penny come back, getting mady away from the little dog, trying to untangle her leash and apologizing to the woman saying oh my gosh im sorry penny ran out yadayada thinking no big deal i just need to apologize. (meanwhile let me say this woman has her two dogs out... one on a leash that she is holding... the other has a leash on but she doesn't hold the leash.

this is how she usually takes them out.) the woman runs over to where my pug and her dog are and says you crazy bitch! what the hell is your problem? i said... and i quote... "are you serious?" and she says yes you crazy bitch you need to control your dogs i can hear your dogs barking in the apt every day you crazy bitch etc etc and so on and i said, you know, i'm sorry my dog ran out but i wasnt meaning to take her (this is the dog that is in a corner of the yard not near any of us, mind you) but she ran out and i am sorry the dogs bark but that is what they do. she continues to call me a crazy bitch and says i better hope her dog isn't hurt. i said you know i think they were just playing it's not a big deal, she continues to call me a crazy bitch. i say, please don't ever speak to me again. and she says, what are you gonna do about it huh? what are you gonna do huh? so we both end up calling the office that day and i explained what happen, the office manager i guess sent her note about keeping her dog on a leash when she is outside with them. i told the manager how shocked i was about how the woman talked to me and she said don't worry about it, we have had these kinds of problems with her before.


so a few months pass, i occassionally see the woman out with her dogs. we never speak or look at each other. she still has the one aggressive dog (always barks whenever it sees my dogs! the other dog never makes a peep) with a leash on that she never actually holds the leash. i sometimes see her peaking out her window at night when i'm taking my dogs out. sometimes i take penny (the good,c hill dog) out at night without her leash on. i know i shouldnt but im lazy. no big deal.
so one morning at like 630am i take the dogs out. i have mady on her leash and penny without a leash even though i should have put one on her. the woman is out with her pomeranians, same deal, has the one dog near her on a leash and the more aggressive dog with a leash on but she's not holding it. she sees me and YELLS at me.. you know you're wrong! you know you're supposed to have your dog on a leash! and i say, you know it is way too early please don't talk to me. she says, i'm calling the office today! and i say go ahead you bitch just leave me alone. she says, oh my goodness i can't believe you would talk to me that way! no one has ever talked to me that way before! and i say, well you talked to me that way you called me a crazy bitch. and she said, oh i would never do that! and i said well you did i know you did because i wrote it down. and she went off with her dogs. i am bringing my dogs back up to my apartment and this woman opens her apt door, yells YOU'RE FAT! and slams her door shut. she called the office and i called the office also to talk to the manager again. the manager said, you know you need to keep you dog on a leash that's unacceptable etc etc. i apologized and then we got to talking about this woman, and she just reminded me that they have had issues with her before and that i shouldn't worry about it, i should just ignore her.


so i've been doing that.... taking out my dogs... not looking at her or speaking to her... etc. the other weekend my mom was here and sees the dogs and is like... awww are those pomeranians they're so cute! and i'm like no mom, don't even start. and then the woman walks by mom and i as we're walking out to the car and gives me the evilest look ever. my mom was like holy crap! evil eye! i' m like yea she is crazy...


so tonight i hear her taking her dogs out. i always know because the one dog barks so freaken loud i can hear everytime they go out. of course whenever mady hears a dog outside she goes to the door and barks. i call her away from the door and she usually quits, sometimes i have to go to the door and lead her to another area of the apartment to distract her. and so i'm doing this tonight and i hear the woman... either talking to a neighbor or on the phone... saying something about me and then says... "and it's not even the dogs fault!"


so now i'm just sick of the whole situation. i don't really know what to do about. my mom said i should say hi to her sometime and just kill her with kindness. i kind of want to talk to the older gentleman downstairs and ask her if he knows her very well and kind of explain the situation and see if he has any advice... see if it's worth it to try to be nice to her.
