You know I've heard and seen clips of the vid on the news for days (since it happened) but there is something very disturbing about seeing the video complete with the screaming. And the moment when the blood starts streaming from her mouth and nose.....just awful. Just awful.

btw, from what I've heard....she was there just to see what was happening, her boy friend had told her that going any where near anything would be a bad idea and she said something like, 'it would be worth going to stand up for what I believe in even if it means a bullet in my heart'.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with this thread, but the thread just reminded me of it:

Did any of you see that show on National Geographic the other day about Iraq under Saddam's rule? It showed this one execution that was particularly disturbing. They put a grenade on this guy, sat him down and let it blow up.

The camera was so close that when the grenade went off the screen went black and had a white spot in the center (The screen looked just like when a flashbang goes off in your face in a video game actually). As the "vision" comes back you see this flayed, smoldering carcass slowly lay down as smoke curls out from inside it's blown out torso. It was absolutely horrific.

Anyway, shit like that reminds me that we should have done something about his filthy ass long before 9/11 and even though we didn't find what we said we went there for, it needed to be done. Those people lived lives that cannot even be comprehended by most people in this country.
