"He left finger marks on his neck," said Woods, who was unsure how the player eventually got away. The 16-year-old complained of having problems breathing, but wasn't taken to the hospital for injuries. Woods said by the time he arrived around 1:50 p.m., the fight had broken up and people were milling around the parking lot. As Woods took statements from witnesses, he said he watched Daniel R. Longo, 57, of Endicott, a relative of the player and coach, flip off the 16-year-old's teammates and shout profanities. Daniel R. Longo was charged with disorderly conduct, a violation. The younger Longo was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor. The elder Longo was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. All three were issued appearance tickets for Village of Endicott Court at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 5. None of the family members could be reached for comment Wednesday. Bernie Andrews, league president, said immediately following the incident that the board unanimously banned the elder Longo from returning to Sertoma Field or being involved in Endicott baseball in any capacity because of witnesses' accounts. "All honesty, we don't need to know a lot of information for something like that," said Andrews, who is in his first year as league president. Andrews said there is only a week left in the season and Longo's team was disbanded. The remaining players, not including the younger Longo, are being placed on other teams."
