I don't know, but there's a Durham post on beeradvocate talking about 20 cases of Dogfish Punkin' arriving 9.02
9/4/2009 6:01:43 AM
Actually, Big Boss was killed by Solid Snake in the original Metal Gear
9/4/2009 6:04:22 AM

9/5/2009 6:49:05 PM
I love pumpkin beers. When Tobacco Road runs out of the current keg of Blanco Diablo, they'll have Harvest Time on tap.
9/5/2009 7:48:14 PM
I think one in my group had it at village draft house last night
9/5/2009 8:32:44 PM
pumpkin ale
9/5/2009 8:43:54 PM
^ 2nd that. I'll have my pumpkin and ale separate.and the pumpkin in a pie. And not at the same time.
9/5/2009 8:52:24 PM
I'm about to go to the big boss brewery now
9/5/2009 11:15:17 PM
yeah they've started to sell it.
9/5/2009 11:36:39 PM
Had some on tap tonight. Pretty good, but I prefer Harvest Moon from the tap.
9/6/2009 3:57:31 AM
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! They don't happen to sell it in bottles do they? That would make sweet souvenirs to bring back
9/6/2009 5:27:45 AM
when i went to big boss they said they were going to start bottling it last monday.
9/6/2009 8:46:55 AM
^^they bottle it every year.
9/6/2009 3:18:37 PM
Yeah, it's available at the Village Draft House in Cameron Village.
9/6/2009 8:06:47 PM
Can't say I've had Pumpkin Ale.Not opposed to giving it a try though.
9/6/2009 8:09:30 PM
9/6/2009 8:12:37 PM
T-7 days before I can partake in pumpkin goodness
9/8/2009 7:29:39 AM
If they're bottling it, will it be available in the bigger stores (ie you can get their main beers at some HT's), or only in places like six-twelve/Peace Street Market? Or neither?
9/8/2009 9:09:59 AM
Went to eat at The Pit last night where they have Harvest Time on tap. Pretty good.
9/8/2009 10:18:24 AM
My sister brought me to Helios to get the pumpkin ale on draft. A+++. Then she brought me to Whole Foods to buy a six pack to bring to my friends. My sister is good to me
9/20/2009 6:01:44 PM
the harvest is good. I like it better then the sam adams. Anyone know of anything better?
9/20/2009 6:03:20 PM
Dogfish Head has a really good one but I think Big Boss beats them out.
9/20/2009 6:10:21 PM
oooh i need to go back to their brewery...harvest time is like pumpkin pie in a glass
9/20/2009 6:19:51 PM
I really like Cottonwood's Pumpkin Ale
9/20/2009 6:20:21 PM
^it's the best one I've had
9/20/2009 6:21:22 PM
had that a couple of nights ago and it was my least favorite of the fall seasonals ive had
9/20/2009 6:25:25 PM
Probably the worst pumpkin ale is Harvest Moon unless it's changed since 2005 when I last had it.
9/20/2009 6:31:46 PM
^agreed
9/20/2009 6:33:11 PM
I have a friend who was the president of the food science club last year (might still be) and is now working toward his phd in fermentation science. dude made a ballin' pumpkin ale last year.and now i want some
9/20/2009 6:36:20 PM
i've been thinking about getting a ps3 to pla metal gear solid 4, but i don't have a job, so it's probably not a wise purchase
9/20/2009 6:47:14 PM
weyerbacher imperial pumpkin beats all$10.99 for a 4-pack
9/20/2009 8:51:07 PM
I thought this thread was about
9/20/2009 8:55:48 PM
^^ And I thought $8.99 for a 6-pack was high
9/20/2009 8:57:06 PM
it probably has a pretty high alcohol percentage
9/20/2009 9:00:30 PM
9/20/2009 9:05:03 PM
aha motherfuck[Edited on September 20, 2009 at 9:05 PM. Reason : You know, I'm getting tired of this slow post/reload bullshit.]
^^^ Good point.
9/21/2009 11:13:07 AM
I'm a big fan of Cottonwood's pumpkin beer and I think I may like Big Boss' even more than that. It's slightly less pumpkin pie than the cottonwood beer.
9/21/2009 11:17:38 AM
Village Draft House has it
9/21/2009 11:32:13 AM
I hope Raleigh Times has it since I'm going there for lunch today
9/21/2009 11:35:04 AM
Metal Gear!?
9/21/2009 11:36:24 AM
Bad Penny?!
9/21/2009 11:43:04 AM
9/21/2009 11:44:55 AM
^they were talking about Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin ale, which is 8% and a little heavy on the cardamom as far as I'm concerned, still pretty good though
