seriously.

it can't be THAT common of an occurrence. i've asked a bunch of my friends and none of them have ever had a cracked windshield.

it's happened to me 3 times. what the fuck?

none of them were my fault, either... all of them were from debris in construction zones on 40.

maybe it's god's way of punishing me for being a gay posting on tww

they've ended up replacing the entire windshield all 3 times (including this one)... and they don't make a generic version, so it's always been OEM glass. it shouldn't be cracking so easily

oh well... thank god for comprehensive coverage with a $50 deductible

^^i don't really see what i could do differently

i stayed the fuck back from the cars in front of me so i wouldn't get the debris kicked up from their tires, i was going *under* the work zone speed limit, i specifically avoided places where there were large piles of debris...

^chrysler... what a surprise, huh?

I received small rock chips on my windshield and paint chips on the front body of my car from the work they are doing on 40.

Can I somehow get the state to pay for my repairs.....wasn't my driving, it was like a hail storm of rocks from the pavement they had laid down.

probably a repeated stress crack.

every time you get into your minivan, evan, the frame that supports your windshield bends a bit. think of a square bending into a parallelagram.

anyway, it won't happen as often now that you're losing weight.

The best solution so far is: you need to stop driving on I-40 altogether

there's a crack on my car's windshield when I bought it 3 years ago. I haven't replaced it because it hasn't got any worse.

i had a large chip with a crack going across the entire windshield. they fixed it with resin and you can't tell anything is wrong. a good tech is like magic.

i like that idea too. i wish all companies that had service guys did this.

chicks would know what to wear when they came too. if it was a hot service dude they could dress up all skanky

That is actually a very safe practice and I appreciate that the company is thoughtful enough to do it.
