i think it's against the homeowners association rules to either shoot or tame a deer. i guess i'm sol.

and venison is good stuff. if people didn't shoot deer they would simply overpopulate, cause more car wrecks, and eventually out-compete each other resulting in a deer-famine, which down the line could spread disease, etc.

I was driving to dinner Saturday night and I saw two what I thought were those fake deer lawn animals. Except they were real deer lawn animals, and I realized that when they moved right after I said, "Oh look, deer" in a tone that made it obvious I was making fun of the people in the house for having fake deer in their yard. Durr.

ahhh, good times

I have a lot of fond family memories of going out, releasing the dogs to chase the deer out of the woods, and opening fire.

only to take the carcass back home, skin in, butcher it...

10 hours later, the crockpot is done cooking, and there's enough venison stew to go around

back when i was younger, me and my dad sat in the back of the pickup at the edge of the field

if you can stay still enough, its like point blank range

then they got rid of the field and put in a bunch of houses that are foreclosed now

I put 60lbs of corn in my backyard last night. Should be plenty of deer on it tomorrow after work. Mmmm..... backstraps on the grill
