Where's a good place to live? I'm looking at a job in Jefferson, GA.
Wondering whether I want to live closer to Athens or Atlanta if I want to go out, meet people, etc...

if you live in Atlanta you have about a 40 min drive, but its the opposite way of traffic, Athens is closer, but the roads to there arent as fast, so it would be like 30 minutes.

Lawrenceville (aka Gwinette County) is suburbia land. Stripmalls and subdivisions for as far as the eye can see. Winder is in Bartow County and is a little more small town, and also a little more hick. If I'm not mistaken, the infamous Wafflehouse Wedding as seen on the internet took place in Winder (or maybe its on the Gwinnette-Bartow border). I just looked at the map, Jefferson is a good stretch from Atlanta, even w/o traffic you are looking at a good hour drive into town.
