I'll let someone else post the employee POV. I'm not outing them.

From the customer POV: he was condescending, short, and irritable when I went to buy a ham for a family dinner. I was the only customer in the store, so the impatience was very unwarranted. Mostly, though, the condescension was the problem.

I never told him that I knew one of his employees, that I work where he's a caterer (apparently, he's not so savvy in operations, either ), or did anything to distinguish me from a random stranger with no other connections or experience with HH.
