You'll be okay. Pitt county schools convened on the day that Hurricane Floyd hit, I hear the buses used trawling motors to go down the roads after an early dismissal.

Man my coworkers are retards. Apparently this thing is only supposed to be a tropical storm by the time it hits us. That's what I get for listening to midwesterners for hurricane info

I just about peed laughing at this email I received from a coworker.

Hi All,

For those who have never experienced a typhoon I think you should be aware they can be very dangerous. I heard the peak is due around tomorrow morning. If that is true I strongly recommend you take some nennkyu (annual leave) and stay at home in the morning at least. If you try cycling to school there is a good chance of injury. Nearly every typhoon some people die. Usually because they were outside at the time. One typhoon killed over 100 people in Japan a few years ago.

I come from New Zealand where we don't have typhoons and my first one was a real eye-opener.

This is not an official notice or anything. It's just my advice. I don't think the schools will give you time off. You will probably have to take annual paid leave.

Nigel"

OMG WATCH OUT FOR THE BIG SCARY TROPICAL STORM.

people that live in places hit hard like in myanmar would appreciate your attitude of indifference towards the danger of a large storm
