I had mine out when I was 19. I won't lie, it was the worst pain I've ever had. Plus I had complIcations, which just made it that much worse.



With saying all that, it was still worth it. Having my tonsils out meant I had no more sinus infections.

Had mine out when I was 8 or so. I lived off of ice cream for the next week.

Horrible, horrible pain. But I got Oxycodone, which was rather nice.

^^ that's what I had. I was taking 2 of those every 6 hours like clockwork for about 2 weeks

yeah i get tonsillitis once every year right about now...probably in a week or two actually.

doc said i could get them out but it would not be worth my time since i'm 24...antibiotics once a year just makes more sense.

good luck, i hear it's crappier the older you get.
