I like to play video games but my girlfriend never really plays with me all that much. Which is fine because she has her own past times that she enjoys. Whenever she asks to play video games with me I win the majority of the time and let her win a couple times, just because. (it could be my competitive spirit, but more importantly, I can't justify all my hours spent playing if I don't win most of the games played)

The other night, she wanted to play Mario Kart 64. My heart dropped. There was no way I was going to let some noob beat me in Mario Kart. You just don't do that. In Mario Kart there are no "friends," no "relationships," or "chivalry". You just pound your opponents down with shells until they are nothing more than a yellow bomb with for spheres for tires. Notice: We didn't play battle mode, or 1v1 race, just GP. So we played 50cc on the Mushroom cup, I took first each time and she took 2nd. "Not bad" I thought. We then bumped it up to the Flower Cup. I took 1st or 2nd on all of them and she was 8th each time. That's my girl.

^5 bmel and I get intense with our Mario Kart and scream at each other/the screen... and idk if you remember Mallory H. from HHS, but I still think that she can beat anyone who plays her in Mario Kart 64 on Toad's Highway - actually she could probably kick anyone's ass in the whole game


I personally miss DK 64 and all those games... and I still kick ass at Zelda

Lol, one of my ex girlfriends used to get so fucking pissed at me at video games. She would slave away all day on Zelda or some other game, and I'd sit down and beat it in five minutes. I just told her, don't feel bad, I beat everyone at video games. She just hated me more and whenever anyone played video games around us, she would leave the room, simply because she didn't like seeing me win against everyone. Needless to say, she was crazy, and just couldn't understand how I could really be the best gamer she ever met.

I beat the original Mario at age 5, all by myself. Video games are in my blood bitches!

Oh yeah, and everything I said above applies to card games too, don't play poker with me if you bring money. I was playing Texas Hold Em' with a group of friends awhile back, and I won nearly every single round we played for like 3 straight hours. Near the end I just started showing them my cards so they could begin to tell when I was bluffing. Still made no difference, I still won, lulz.

^2 I would get so mad at my stepdad when Zelda came out for N64. I would play it for hours and figure out all the secrets and he would watch me, then go do everything in half the time I did. He ended up getting to the end right after me because he stole all my moves >.>
