So I am sad that the week b4 Halloween I am on a Business trip, so I don't have time to put a lot of effort into this years costume. I was thinking about getting my Sub-zero costume shipped out but too much hassle. So I am thinking one of the three following costumes:Captain Morgan...I'll sew a blue cape and get a red cap. Greek goddessCleopatrathoughts? not going for the sluttiest costume.

#1 looks like a better, cooler costume, but #2 and #3 look more comfortable. Any idea of the temperature where you will be?

last year it was pretty warm out halloween night in san diego. the girls i was with were not wearing skimpy stuff, but they weren't wearing like sweaters or anything either.

Are you going to be as attractive as the women in the picture by Halloween? You know, cause if not I'd say go as Chewbacca.
10/12/2009 2:21:10 AM
^^^ There is some chance that I will be in San Diego for Halloween, too!

Pirates & toga party outfits seem to have been overdone. Of the 3, I'd suggest Cleopatra, & that outfit wouldn't be as chilly. You're photo gallery has such creative costumes, its too bad you don't have time to do something like that. Creative doesn't necessarily mean time consuming. Here are two of my recent halloween costumes. I spent maybe $25 on both of them combined. For Link I basically threw on some scrubs from work which I already had, used a pillow case & rubberband to make the hat, & bought a sword/shield combo at a dollar store & spent a couple of bucks on some colored foam-like material from michaels or some craft store & cut it out & taped it onto the shield to make the hyrule shield. And for the multiple man costume I just got 3 other people to buy the shirt too so we all had the multiple man shirt, we dressed alike otherwise, and we all had an M drawn on our face (something the character has in the comics, but not the movie X3).Granted your subzero costume blows those costumes out of the water, but you can creative does not mean it can't be quick/cheap/easy with a little thought. Now that I'm almost done typing this message I've changed my mind, go for Captain Morgan, it seems creative, just make sure its clear what your costume is so people don't assume its the overdone pirate theme as a result of Pirates of the Caribbean. Can you carry around a bottle of it with you at this street party thing?
10/12/2009 1:10:31 PM
^ I dunno If I could take an empty bottle filled with discolored water or they'll take it away. and ya I can't think of anything else that I could make in a short time. I was thinking scorpion but that's the same thing diff. color. I do plan to bring back my subzero costume and see if I can go to comicon.

meh- i'm gonna be a pirate... don't care if it's over done or not- it'll just show i put some effort into it and didn't just toss on a pair of my scrubs or old fatigues

any good places to get costumes in the Raleigh area you guys know of?
10/12/2009 1:18:11 PM
if you drive past crabtree near where the old Best Buy use to be. across in the small shopping center is a really cool costume shop. i dunno the name but maybe someone will.
10/12/2009 1:44:37 PM
Spirit on glenwood is good- cheaper and better selection than a party cityit is by where the Walmart is (past crabtree)- this might be the same place ^ is talking about. If you are looking at the walmart, it is over to the right in the corner of the shopping center
