I had my parents and a few other family members restricted from being able to see my status for awhile, but after my dad read a comment I put on poopface's status one day I said fuck it

only coworkers are restricted

I don't have any family members as "friends" other than my cousins and brother and sister.

However last month I went to a weekend long event with my dad and afterwards he wanted to be FB friends so he could look at the photos. So I added him But with restricted access, that photo album and my profile info only!

its sometimes unavoidable to add your parents if they are bothering you about it

i had to finally go thru and set up categories and limit access because so many adults (like parents' friends) and relatives were adding me
