One of my best students told me about how his father's friend's 18 yo son died on Saturday in Dubai.

He was living with his parents and went out to get donuts at 7:30 am on his motorbike (don't know what type). Waiting for a traffic light to turn green, he was hit from behind by a drunk driver going ~90 mph. He went flying and hit a light pole with his back, resulting in a broken back. And then the driver drove over him

When he didn't return till 9:30 am, his parents went out looking for him. They learnt of the terrible accident and went to the hospital where he was taken. They were told that he survived for about an hour after the accident

The drunk driver will get mandatory life in prison.

It's funny. When I'm driving at 5 am to go to work or the gym, I often wonder how many people in the cars around me are drunk.
