they don't wanna talk about it do you
(1)instantly forget about it and move on to the next subject
or
(2)do you come up with some crazy reason why they don't wanna talk about it and believe that reason until you find out the true story?

i give everyone else that same respect

i really really hate being asked over and over again "what are you thinking" or "are you mad, whats wrong" or "you wanna talk about it" thats when i shell up hard i dont like questions very well

I tend to badger the fuck out of them until they scream at me or finally tell me.

Of course, I'm wising up in my older age. Steph doesn't wanna talk about it, I'm learning to keep my trap shut and go elsewhere. Otherwise, all hell breaks loose.

I get drunk and mock them for not wanting to talk about it until it turns into an episode.

Well I don't bug people about it, but I do come up with some crazy idea in my head and I believe it until the subject comes up again. If it's someone I'm close with I normally tell them my crazy thought, but if I'm not close to them I don't want them to think I'm crazy.

Haha, well mostly recently a friend of mine was like "I wish I still had my truck" and I was like "Why don't you have it anymore" and he was like "I don't wanna talk about it"

Seeing how most of the time someone not having the same vehicle as before isn't that big of a deal I figure it's something HUGE that happened and I came up with this story (obviously not true, but funny in my head) He was having a love affair with his truck, but then one night his truck hooked up with someone else and he found out about it and his truck left him....

Later I found out his dad kept it in Mississippi when he moved here.

This is especially the case after living with someone for 4 years who absolutely HATED to be asked "what's wrong" more than once.

I tell them that I'm willing to listen if they decide to talk and then move on.

At least half the time they wind up spilling their guts.

I drop the conversation but I don't instantly forget about it. The worst is when someone acts all befuddled, starts talking about their situation and then they say "I don't want to talk about it" but clearly they REALLY want to talk. ugh. I usually get angry at this form of attention whoring. But if I start the conversation, bring up the situation and they say they don't want to talk about it, I then stop talking and try to change the subject (if they still want to continue talking). Very hard thing to do.

I have to admit, it is the hardest for me to drop the conversation with Ken but I still do it. He usually says it when we have had a heated debate about something and I don't want to give in.
