well, maybe a little. So, sometimes when I take my meds for pain, they don't do anything, but other times are very different. Like I'll take 3 percs one day and get nothing, barely any pain relief, and then another day in the week I'll take 2 and be tripping balls.Anyone else have inconsistent pill side effects with their prescription drugs?(ibtOMFGDRUGGIEBURNONTHECROSS)

Cause the bottle says to take that many per dose.I had ACL reconstruction surgery and am starting to walk on it now, so I get pain from my hamstring where they harvested my new ACL and my Lateral Meniscus on the right-back side of my knee where they had to shave it. Plus the bone bruise on that side.[Edited on October 23, 2009 at 3:43 PM. Reason : se]Well, its not like "ow, my meniscus", its just the region where it hurts and that's what the doc said is causing pain[Edited on October 23, 2009 at 3:44 PM. Reason : lol]

when i was 12 and 13 they had me on Ritalin, which i didn't need, but back then they were giving Ritalin to everyone. I would get sleep paralysis and hallucinations, sometimes I couldn't sleep for days. Usually the hallucinations during sleep paralysis are something like that you feel a spider on your back while you cant move, or you hear someone talking right behind you. But they can be more vivid.across from my bed was my lego city on a table. One time I woke up and couldn't move. The lego dudes were moving, the cars were driving around and stuff, and in the middle of town there was power plant I didn't remember building. It started to smoke and an alarm sounded, all the lego men turned to look, and then an orb shaped green explosion tore out of it, the lego people screamed horribly and melted as the explosion enveloped the city.

It is pretty standard to build up a tolerance especially to opiates.

Are you taking them whenever you need to or consistently every 4 (or 6, or however many) hours? When I had my burn the one thing they told me NOT to do was to take the pain pills whenever I just started to feel the pain because it would be hard to get to a point where it completely went away. They described it as being "hard to catch up." Maybe this is what's happening to you if you're just taking them when need be?
10/23/2009 4:46:51 PM
you just need some 80mg oc's and you will be feeling right
10/23/2009 4:56:22 PM
^^^^thats why i havent been taking them consistently, like maybe 1-2 doses a day. ^^I take them at the onset, dont have enough to be on them constantly. Figure save them for when i need em.--Knee has been feeling out of whack from last night, but dont want to take any since I have beer in my system. bollocks

i used to have to take vicodin (yes, vicodin) for period cramps and got no relief. so i kind of understand how you feel. still now i can take 6 ibuprofen or tylenol or whatever at once and get no relief for headaches or anything.when i had shoulder probs in high school - same deal. pills didn't do anything, cortisone shots helped for like a hot minute (so i could race or whatever)

Why is Legend of Sleepy Hollow a "banned" cartoon?
10/25/2009 3:07:42 AM
What's the dosage? With a low dosage, the effects can vary quite a bit just due to how much food you have in your stomach.
10/25/2009 3:39:52 AM
i got some shit that will knock you out for at least the whole weekend. you won't feel shit cause you won't be conscious. shit sucks to come off of though
10/25/2009 9:41:43 AM
I think its like 5mg/pill, I'll have to take a look though.

I've been on 20mg of Oxycontin for the past couple of days. I don't see the addiction potential personally, but as far as taking away pain they're fucking money...

Those are pretty weak, the more food you have in your stomach when you take your meds, the lower the effect is going to be. So keep that in mind when you're taking them. You might try breaking them in half if you need faster relief (not doctor recommended, but a tried and true practice) and take them with lots of water.
10/25/2009 4:15:33 PM
eating a grapefruit with your opiates will make them absorb into your system faster. having a meal high in fat with your meds will drastically reduce the absorption time.
10/25/2009 4:22:30 PM
back in the day i'd watch that old "legend of sleepy hollow" off a actual film reel and projector. creepy shit, but good
10/25/2009 6:29:42 PM
Hey asshole, it's called tolerance. When you take them in a row, effect is diminished. When you wait a week and take them again, you "trip balls" (How you trip off of opiates is beyond me, but ok). [/Thread] ]

had the same problem, although i did notice that the food/fat content in food had an affect
10/25/2009 9:49:18 PM
i tripped off benadryl once
