Definitely happened to me before.

I read the same CNN story as a friend that I haven't seen in years about foul language in the workplace. I made a funny involving "fuck" and proceeded to get a lesson in manners from one of her friends I didn't know. I kept trying to play on the joke, but he thought I was serious. My friend broke it up

i just bite my tongue when they break out the "wake up america! obama is a terrorist/facist/communist/socialist/muslim/african/too young/too black/too lazy/too racist/too unamerican/too anti-military/too pro-military/too pro regulation/too anti regulation/etc" posts. i mean damn, if you're going to bitch, at least pick a side and stick with it.

there's just no arguing with some people, but i lost some respect for a bunch of old friends.

i also roll my eyes at the praise jesus/praying for xyz posts.

Nothing like being a closed-minded ignorant bastard and then telling people you'll pray for them to act like you're doing them a favor (which must mean that you're on the higher side of this argument if god is supposedly on your side).
