i loooooove my pets, but would not spend outrageous amounts of money on vet bills
or put them in baby beds
or cat/baby clothes
or carry them in a purse

the best either of my cats gets is a new toy ~once a year when they're on sale after xmas or a ride in the car now and then

i love my dog...but if she needs surgery over $1k, she's going to be put to sleep

i truly do love her...i keep her healthy, she gets to play all the time (she goes to day camp once a week), she eats good food (with table scraps, of course!) and i let her outside to run herself silly on a regular basis

but she's still just a dog

One of my dogs just had elbow sugery to correct a hereditary defect on wednesday. $1400.

She's so pitiful right now. Fentanyl patch & rimadyl. Her pupils are huge & she just wimpers quietly.

We'll spend another $1400 to fix the other if we have to.

My mom spent $10,000 to try to save her 9 year old golden retriever with liver cancer. The vet school couldn't fix her ):

I love my pets... Probably as much as I would love my children if I had them, only because I know these lil' fuckers won't do drugs, commit felonies, get pregnant, etc... and I won't have to worry about paying for college, clothes, help them find a job, worry about them having to move out, wondering if they will ever move out (dogs will live for what, 15 or 16 years max whereas some kids live with their parents past 21 ), etc... Oh and since I've got 2 that play with each other, I can just put them up in their room when I'm done with them for the day/night.

Oh and they love me. I can beat them senseless for pissing 10 gallons of fluid all over my berber carpet and 5 minutes later they still love me with tails wagging.

Oh and they always listen to me. No back talking... Thank god. I legally should not have children... It's just a bad idea. lolz!!!!1!1
