my neighbor had 3 junk cars and a bunch of other trash piled up in his yard, then I moved out of Greenville.

Haha, nice. We should have a "who can turn their house into a farm the quickest" war!

I get a goat, he gets two cows... I bush hog the shrubs behind the creek and install a corral with some horses, he buys a tractor and starts a hog farm... I wonder at what point the [last dying remnants of the] homeowners association will step in? I should write "All animals are equal" on the barn I will eventually construct just for fun.

one of the neighbors behind my house parks his moped in his back "yard".

We see him drive it back there a lot and it's generally pretty funny.

Got a Cary address? Within the last month or so Cary had a town hall meeting that extended the ban on chickens within town limits.

Nah, its a Raleigh address. I'm just "outside the beltline", but its really outside the part where the beltline cuts back in between crossroads and wade.

I was walking down chamberlain the other day and this guy was talking to his chickens in his boxers at like 10 in the morning. I think he was drunk or some shit.

i've got half an acre of woods that need to be cleaned out and i don't feel like doing it

not sure what i'm planning to do with it after it finishes the job (which will take a while, anyway...but you can't have but one goat in the city limits with an acre of land, i think)...i wouldn't mind keeping it as a milker (i grew up on a farm, and killing an animal when you can get more out of it while alive seems pretty wasteful), but i'm also content to butcher and eat it

the gf tends to get attached to farm animals, though, so i'm betting it'll stay a milker or i'll sell it or something

nice

I was asking b/c of where my grandparents live (rural Tn) just about everyone is raising Boer goats. Apparently the hispanic population near them likes to cook them (according to my grandma its on a spit over a fire).

I've never tried goat (I imagine it tastes alright) but BBQing one over a fire and drinking some cervezas sounded like a damn good time.

this is becoming increasingly more common. When I move back to Virginia I plan on chickens and rabbits for starters.
