Was Gmail the official decision to go with?

I'm beta testing it for them now. It's exactly what the doctor ordered, at this point I'm positive that they're gonna go through with the Gmail decision.

the only thing I like about gmail is the storage size. the chat shit is annoying (wish I could hide it) and the threaded messages is annoying. I'd rather have each email separately. Thus I use webmail through outlook and all emails are forwarded to gmail (as a back-up and to be sent to my phone). I hope I'm gone before the transition to gmail, unless the transition means more customizing options for gmail

^I mean completely hide it, I don't want to even see the collapsed chat or the invite a friend. I'd like customizable folders, and get rid of some of the permanent ones included, get rid of labeling. As for threaded messages, they are convenient and I like them, but I'd like to have the actual email as well for searching purposes, etc. I mean, it's the same thing when an email is forwarded/replied to back and forth and no one deletes the previous emails, thus they're all there together, which I like... but in threaded messaging, the actual emails are all in one and that messes me up when I'm looking through my emails

you can do everything with labels that you can with folders

i wish they'd have gone with exchange instead of gmail, but any of them are magnitudes better than what they've stuck the staff with
