I have a question aout App. State.

I have been listening to a lot of sports talk radio lately, and one of the channels I listen to is the "home of Appalachian State football", so obviously there are a lot of commercials for App. In all of them they refer to them as the "Apps" instead of the "Mountaineers". What gives?

I think Appalachian saying Go Apps is similar to UVA saying Go Hoos. It's an alternate saying.

Apps/Mountaineers = Wahoos/Cavaliers

I can't stand that. I went there for 3 years and never fucking understood it, I dunno what an Apps is, but it's the most annoying thing I've ever heard. We're either App, Appalachian, or the Mountaineers, not fucking Apps.
