buck would do it, but he's been working so many hours lately (it's his busy season) so after a 60+ hour work week, i hate asking him to blow the leaves on the weekend. i'd rather let him relax and pay someone else to come get it done.

unfortunately most of our "front yard" is a densely populated tree area, which means we have to go through and blow the leaves out. there is no mowing that section. i dunno what happens if we just leave the leaves there though. do they rot or something?

Provided your trees aren't plagued by any fungus I've read you can simply leave (leaf) them there or chop them up with a non-bag mower and as they break down they will return nutrients and goodies back into the soil. Hell, I'd advocate even picking them up by hand if that meant not having to listen to damned leaf blower!
