I went to the Rukus in Cary the other day... I was really looking forward to it and got the worse service I've had in a LONG time. It made me sad, because I wanted it to be awesome.

^^you really can't compare the two because they are two completely different things- that is like comparing bada to red room... one is good for one thing, and the other for something completely different


and how did last night turn out? we had an early dinner and then went to wallyworld and got a couple movies on bluray, a bottle of wine for the woman, and came back home and chillaxed

everyone that has/does work there that i talked to said they have no idea why the owners decided to call it ruckus- there is nothing in common between the two


the owners own a bunch of shit (even stuff like horse stables and junk), and it just happens that their second restaurant venture they decided to give the same name as their first, even though they were going for something completely different

it is kind of weird- it would be like if they decided to call Sitti or Gravy "Raleigh Times 2"

yeah, we get that a lot (about the fact that the cary store carries the Ruckus name). most folks don't care, though. in fact, most refer to us as the bar, and the cary one as the restaurant.

and damn, the bad service bit about cary is becoming kinda rampant

all that said, we've addressed the music volume issue months ago. We're rarely loud AT ALL, unless, of course, there's a band. or a DJ. and that's typically from 11-2 or so, which is when most bars are relatively loud. you can certainly have an easy conversation from 11am-11pm or so on any given night.

or, you can continue to hold on to expectations you set from your few experiences years ago.
