at the bourbon festival, they had two gallon bottles of woodford reserve with cinammon sticks and apple slices soaking in the bourbon. It was tasty.

there were probably about 20 cinammon sticks and 4 whole granny smith apples in the bottle. I don't know how long they had been letting it soak for though.

I don't know... seems wrong. Like adding sugar to a fine wine.

this isn't wine we're talking about. you've never added sweet vermouth and bitters to bourbon to make a Manhattan?

besides, it was Woodford Reserve sales reps that were serving it, and it's not like apples are going to add a lot of sugar anyway.

use wild turkey, jack daniels, or some other crappy bourbon if you're gonna enhance the flavor.

woodford reserve needs no enhancement.

it doesn't need enhancement, but it was still delicious. My normal stock of Bakers and Bookers are fine to drink straight, but I love to mix them with some good ginger ale on ice. I'm not going to drink shit bourbon because I want to make a mixed drink.

My beverage of choice for a regular night out is Knob Creek, served neat. Woodford Reserve, neat, for special occasions.

I like to drink bourbon until I feel short bus "special".
