my favorite "normal price" liquor, so damn good. But there have been a shitload of threads on this...
11/7/2009 8:22:44 PM
at the bourbon festival, they had two gallon bottles of woodford reserve with cinammon sticks and apple slices soaking in the bourbon. It was tasty.
11/7/2009 8:26:11 PM
hmmm, any idea on the # of each?
11/7/2009 8:37:30 PM
there were probably about 20 cinammon sticks and 4 whole granny smith apples in the bottle. I don't know how long they had been letting it soak for though.

I don't know... seems wrong. Like adding sugar to a fine wine.
11/7/2009 8:48:10 PM
this isn't wine we're talking about. you've never added sweet vermouth and bitters to bourbon to make a Manhattan?besides, it was Woodford Reserve sales reps that were serving it, and it's not like apples are going to add a lot of sugar anyway.
11/7/2009 9:01:42 PM
use wild turkey, jack daniels, or some other crappy bourbon if you're gonna enhance the flavor.woodford reserve needs no enhancement.[Edited on November 7, 2009 at 9:03 PM. Reason : s]

it doesn't need enhancement, but it was still delicious. My normal stock of Bakers and Bookers are fine to drink straight, but I love to mix them with some good ginger ale on ice. I'm not going to drink shit bourbon because I want to make a mixed drink.

My beverage of choice for a regular night out is Knob Creek, served neat. Woodford Reserve, neat, for special occasions.
11/7/2009 10:41:50 PM
its on sale tonight at the ABC store... that qualifies as a special occasion.
11/7/2009 10:53:53 PM
I like to drink bourbon until I feel short bus "special".
