Mine is white son. Here it is:

What a fucking set of knives son. I'm EXTREMELY impressed with them, they're certainly the best folding EDC knives I've ever purchased.

I'm jealous of hers though, I kind of like the pink one.

i had a couple spyderco's back in the day... nowadays, I just stick to gerber and kershaw (quality stuff for what you pay)

I lose things like pocket knives to easily to spend any more than 40 bucks on a knife

I've not been as appreciative of the Gerber designs. Kershaw is alright but I still don't see enough that really sets them apart from the others.

The key to the Spiderco is the internal design, blade material and external design. The bushings in spydercos tend to be excellent, they open so nicely. You can really tell you're handling something of very high quality. The Benchmade folding knives are really good too, but again they don't have the features of spydercos. The "spyder hole" deployment mechanism is fucking genius, you only push forward to deploy the blade, rather than out and then forward due to the placement of it. The dent in the lockback mechanism is also a very nice touch. Handling a Spyderco Delica 4, Endura 4 (Or one of many other EXCELLENT designs) for the first time is a beautiful experience if you actually know how to handle a blade.

I am nothing but impressed with these knives. Both are limited edition runs too from what we can tell. The pink Delica 4 is no longer listed on their website and the white Endura 4 (Celebrates the lunar landings apparently) is a limited sprint run. These aren't a dime a dozen or anything and I really like that.

I'm super excited about these, I keep taking lizrock18's Delica 4 out, I'm so obsessed with these fuckers.

S&W Swat knives are some junk.
Spyderco is quality, but I personally don't like the ergonomics on them. My big hands don't always find that thumb hole without some stretching.
I'm a Benchmade guy.

How do you guys lose them?! I have never lost one other than when someone stole my pocket knife as a child. I have NEVER forgotten that crap because it happened at a summer camp and the counselor forced me to put it in a bucket for this "exercise in trust". They were putting them in a bucket, mixing it up and then having us pull our knife back out. The point I guess was to trust others, but there were all of these ghetto ass kids and they'd been eying my knife the whole time. So, I refused because I had a $60 knife and everyone else had a $5 knife.

Well, they wouldn't do the exercise until I put it in the bucket and after about 15 minutes of arguing and the counselor going crazy eventually I threw my knife in the bucket. Of course, he deliberately forced me to sit out of sight of the bucket and brought it to me dead last and the knife in it was a piece of shit. I looked up at him and said, "Is this a fucking joke? Does that look like my fucking knife?!" My knife was, by far, the nicest one there and they didn't pay attention to the shitbag ghetto fuck who took it out and stole it, I guess because they "trusted" the little fucker.

Well, then they spent about an hour going around asking for the person who took it to give it back and of course they wouldn't. I was furious with that idiot and of course he had nothing but "sorry" to say about it. I said, "You owe me another exact copy of my knife!" Well, at the end of the summer camp he came up to me with something and I was happy cause I was going to get my knife back. Well, he gave me a complete piece of shit that was obviously something he already had and I got so fucking angry at him. I have never forgotten that shit, it happened when I was like 8 or 9 years old. Anyway, fuck that shitbag motherfucker. I have always cherished my knives and I don't lose them. To me that would be like losing a Glock or something. If you are that absent minded with your defensive tools then I guess you don't take defense too seriously. I always keep them in the same place so that I can access them under stress. If you don't do that, you might as well not even have the fuckers.

I was not impressed with S&W's choice of blade steel considering the cost of the knife btw. They are good looking knives, I'd just never buy one.

I'm relatively knowledgeable in knives, I mean I'm not an expert or anything, but I know a solid design when I get my hands on one. Looks are not everything with knives, I go for ergonomics, lightweight, good blade design, rapid deployment, properly designed pocket clips, etc. Spyderco manages to get it all right, most others don't. The best part about it is that their excellent ergonomics also end up making a really radical and unique knife design that outperforms the rest.

Slash attacks with the Endura 4 in particular are sick nasty.

^ Even the Police model and Endura 4 are too small for you?! The Police is HUGE (5" blade I believe), so is this Endura 4 though honestly. The spyder hole is awesome once you're used to it, I can deploy these faster than any other folder I've come across. I find the Delica to be the perfect size for my hands, but I prefer the larger Endura 4 blade and more room on the handle. I was considering a Benchmade 960 as well, but ended up with these two.

I like carrying smaller stuff on a daily basis. The one Spyderco I own is a Michael Walker model with half serrated blade. It's probably slightly smaller than the Delica. I carried it for about three or four years and I think it is great quality, but the Benchmades I own just have a better feel in every way. There is a guy at the Lake Gaston flea market with good deals on Spyderco and other stuff. He probably has thirty Spydercos available. He does most polymer knives for $15-$20 and stainless models for $25.

95% of the time I'm carrying a pre-production Benchmade 773 these days. That same guy sold me this one + a Cold Steel Bali Song butterfly knife for $75 I think.

I am too lazy to get out the camera, but my everyday carry consists of:

Delica 2 Full serrated. I wish it was a fine edge, but I make do.

My woods knife is a Boker Cordoba:

A wise man once told me "Don't ever go anywhere without your FUCKING MULTI-TOOL."

So I always either have my leatherman juice or wave on me. Juice at work and whatnot, everywhere else is the Wave.

Juice:

I still carry my stainless Delica from '97, best $70 or whatever on a knife. I have beaten the hell out of it, I broke the tip twice and shaped it back with a sander. I also have an old black rescue, I wanted a mariner but they were on the way out when I wanted one.

I love my Spyderco Delica (half serration). I've had it since 9th grade. Had the blade replaced once by the manufacturer.

Wow, hard to believe I can agree with SaabStory on something...

I like it a lot as well honestly. The pink is a great color, although it does not photograph well from what we've seen so far. But man does it ever look great in person!

Good luck finding one, the Pink Ladies Delica 4 was a Limited Edition Sprint Run and most places are sold out of them now.

Quote :
"The Delica Ladies Limited Edition Sprint Run folder from Spyderco features: 2.88 inch drop point, plain edged blade made of premium VG-10 stainless steel. Handle made of Pink fiberglass reinforced scales with Bi-Directional Texturing® for preferred traction and improved ergonomics. Inside the handle, dual skeletonized stainless steel liners make the knife stronger without adding weight and make an anchor for all external and internal components to attach through adding sturdiness and rigidity. Lockback locking system. Comes complete with a pocket clip. 4.25 inches closed & 7.125 inches overall lengths. Phosphor bronze bushings smooth out the open/close action and the clip is upgraded to a four-way tip-up, tip-down, left- or right-handed clip. Weighs 2.3 oz."

The white Endura 4 I got was also a Limited Edition Sprint Run and will be difficult to locate. They made a number of their models in white for a limited time to celebrate an artist's scale reconstruction of our first walk on the moon! I did find a handful of white Dragonfly models (An excellent 2" full flat ground blade) at yourcornerstore.com (They have great prices btw).

Quote :
"Tom Sachs, an artist living in New York with works featured around the world, is also a Spyderco fan. He requested a white Delica in a CombinationEdge for his creation of the "Space Program" a full scale reconstruction of man's first walk on the moon with Tom's twist. It debuted at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills, California in September of 2007.

Inspired by Tom's enthusiasm for white Spydercos, we've created a collection of some of Spyderco's classic designs in white. The White FRN Delica, Endura, Dragonfly and Ladybug will be available for a short time and in limited quantities."

I didn't say all stores were sold out btw, I said most. You simply confirmed what I said, most people don't have them and it is going to be difficult to get your hands on one.

They've even placed a limit of 2 per person on the site you just linked, so they're not going to have them for long (As of 11/5/09 mind you, that's not as of today). I also didn't actually see them say that it is in stock and they don't list how many are in stock, they also say right on the page that they haven't updated it in 6 days and their stock was obviously already limited, so it could be down to zero now.

I just see it listed on their site, although I may be missing where it says whether or not the item is in stock. Some sites are good about listing how many they have in stock (Like yourcornerstore.com) and others are terrible about it.

Point being, I'd call before I actually ordered it from that site just to be sure you don't go through a bunch of hassle for nothing. If you can find one though, you wont be disappointed with it, that's for damn sure. Be sure to get a plain edge model rather than serrated unless all you do is cut rope.
