Is tommorow morning. I love getting new tailored clothes. I'm sure that he, like usual, will call me fat... make me cry... and make me uncomfortable in my own home

But it will be ok. I'll be stylin' on all u

I am not hating on you in particular, but I wonder sometimes if the amount of money people spend on clothes is inversely proportional to the amount of hobbies they enjoy. Like, well, i don't have anything else cool to spend my money on, i guess i will get some clothes fitted to me.....

Or maybe this means i have too many expensive hobbies.

Or I guess buying clothes could be considered a hobby.

i hope to never have a job where my clothes make any difference in regards to my clients or to my superiors...and if it takes fancy and expensive clothes to make you feel good about yourself, that's cool...but i hope to never care about something so superficial

in terms of clothing importance (to me), function (comfort) >>>>>>>>>>>>>> form (style), and in most cases, form costs much more than function

It's possible I suppose. I mean, I spend money to enjoy myself as well. I personally just like to look nice at work, or other places that I need to wear formal or business attire. I'm not really a spendthriftc nor will I go broke by spending money on a tailor.

You have never bought a suit Im guessing. They come with raw ends, so as far as I know they all require some amount of tailoring.

Suits usually do come with basic tailoring of the pants and waist. But it feels like a different ball game to have your shoulders, chest, waist, legs, etc... measured, and then have clothes cut and fitted for you.

For example, your shirt, slacks, and is key just wear differently.

i have a single suit...it's 100% wool and i had it tailored (shoulders, waist, legs, all that good stuff)...i like it and it fits like a glove, though i wear it MAYBE once a year (and even then, i wear it more often to funerals than some sort of social function)

oh, absolutely...my clients don't give a rat's ass if i'm wearing cargo shorts or armani...thank goodness, too, because anyone who says a suit in the summertime is more comfortable than shorts is a liar (unless they were to imply that they rely on clothes to make them feel good and the suit is required so they don't feel bad about themselves, of course)

I recently got a suit in Jacksonville, had to visit twice - once to pick it out, another to get fitted to it once it came in. After it was done, a friend brought it back to Raleigh and the jacket fits like it was made for a fat person. Ridiculous.

Probably going to take it to the asian tailor next to McDonald's on Gorman/Western

Yeah, we never have the general public in our office, so jeans, polos and if I want to a T-shirt (usually something NCSUish) and my New Balances. We havent gotten to the point of shorts....yet.... I just recently got a new suit since my old one, bought after graduation, no longer fitted well andI wear it a couple times a year. I hate it for those that have to wear the tie and all...ugh.....of course, when the big wigs come down we all dress up for the day!

eh... It's not that bad, really. And if clothes are made right, they're comfortable.

In my office (around 100 people), the 20ish/30ish year olds (alot more in early 30s) always wear the jeans, polos, t-shirts, the 40+ year old crowd always dress up cause they dont have any jeans or non dressy clothes.
