Just caught this picture of my aunt and cousins from Nebraska on facebook.
Last time I saw them, and it doesn't seem that long ago, the one on the left was trying to get me to watch Barny videos and the one on the right had a sippy cup and footy PJs.

When the youngest and oldest Marines present at the USMC Birthday Ball a few days ago were recognized, the youngest was born in 1990.

I was born in 1979.

Not that you guys care, but shes like 15. Which oddly in NC makes her legal next September. Interesting fact, I just fact checked the age of consent in NC and found that not only is it 16, but it was not changed from 13 until 1995, lol. Not that it matters since luckily shes safe from you guys in Nebraska.

The number of people in grad school with me who are married.

Twitter. Twitter is the first big technology thing that I thought was lame by virtue of my being too old (as opposed to myspace, which I thought was lame by virtue of being lame). Every time someone asks me if I twitter I instinctively start yelling at kids to get off my lawn.

People who were born in/after 1990, and especially those old enough to vote (I had to teach some of these).

The fact that "old enough to drive" no longer means "old enough to have sex with."

My brother's friend owns a skate boarding shop and he lets some of the local kids hang around and skate out back. While there this weekend, I overheard some of the kids discussing how money that they all had between them to buy gas. I didn't think that these guys could grow facial hair, much less drive a car. It kinda freaked me out.
