^^^my first thought as well. i think fire would have to overtake drowning for a few reasons on second thought though.. number one, i think you'd have to have a closed casket at the funeral with a fire. and 2, the pain would probably be less with drowning than a fire.

i would have to say burning and drowning. drowning is more of a mental thing though, since no pain is involved. im sure if you were trying to off yourself it would be a good way, just breath in, no pain.

they say freezing to death is the most painless way to die. But I'm not sure. It seems like when you're feeling real cold that it would hurt a lot. But one time I got very mild hypothermia and was never in any pain, and at that point I felt warm, so I guess if you got to that point then just jumped in the snow and went to sleep it would be a pretty painless way to go.

^^^if you're set on fire, no way you'd die first from smoke. and even if you managed to die from smoke, it surely wouldn't be the "first" of the many terrible things you'd feel.

you know what I never got about that star wars worm thing. They acted like just cause it takes 1000 years to digest you that you feel it for that long, but its not like it can sustain your life. I suppose they just meant that it would hurt until the point in the digestion where you die. Which makes you wonder why the storm troopers they threw in there were supposed to deserve that.

I want to have a quick and painful death or a slow but totally pain free death. its like the conjugate of what most people want, then the opposite of that.

The Boats

An ancient Persian punishment. Basically, they put you in this wooden box on the ground, with your head, arms and legs sticking out. Then they give you a big meal and a large pitcher of water (if you won't eat/drink, they force you to do so by pricking your eyes.) Then they pour a mixture of milk and honey all over your face and in your mouth, so before long you have flies and other insects completely covering your face. And they keep the box turned so that you're always facing the sun.

The really fun part is, when you have to shit and piss, you have nowhere to do it but in the box...so bugs fly into the box and eat the shit and piss, and eventually start to eat you. The executioner gives you a little bit of water every day, and it's very hard to refuse it. After awhile (it took one guy seventeen days) you die, and they open up the box and all the skin around your stomach and loins has been eaten away by bugs, and they see bugs crawling all over your what's left of your vitals, finishing them.

After much deliberation a number of years ago, it was determined that the worst possible way to die would be the following:

Being eaten alive by a fire-breathing bear who was, at the time, on fire.

We also determined that said bear should salivate pork fat.

I am not sure why the pork fat became involved, but it seems integral to the description now.
